Solar Charged’s odds slashed after impressive win, in to strong Slipper favourtism.
March 8, 2010 by fryzie36Solar Charged’s odds for the Golden Slipper have been slashed to $4.50 at Sportingbet Australia following her devastating win in the Kindergarten Stakes at Warwick Farm.
Sportingbet Australia CEO Michael Sullivan said the John O’Shea trained filly had been well backed in the week leading up to the Kindergarten and he expected it continue.
“She gave a couple of very handy horses a complete toweling and she certainly looks the real deal,” Sullivan said.
“We took bets to win $30,000 and $25,000 last week and those punters would be very happy with the $8.50 they secured now.
“It would take an enormous performance from something else now to displace her as favourite before the Slipper and I think punters will really step into her.”
Chance Bye and Benetau share second favouritism at 9.00.
