Danny Green certainly has a fight on his hands this Wednesday night and it will be well worth all boxing fans making sure they look at this one.
I haven’t seen much of Polishman Krisztof Wlodarcyzk but he’s got some big scalps on his resume and all reports are that he’s looking strong and hard since arriving in Australia.
Danny gets an advantage from fighting in front of his beloved home crowd in Perth and a lot depends on how the Pole responds to the travel.
Some guys struggle when they travel and some relish it like I do.
Wlodarcyzk is younger and fitter than Danny Green but that said the younger guys can sometimes get a little complacent and just take it for granted that they are going to win.
They can make little mistakes and take it from me if Danny is smart and gets half a sniff he’ll take it with arms wide open.
A good example of what I’m talking about came in the fight between Ortiz and Mayweather.
Ortiz had just had a good patch in the fight when he got carried away and head butteds his opponent before dropping his guard and not watching what was going on.
Danny may be getting on a bit but there’s no substitute for experience in a boxing ring.
I think Danny wins this fight if he can catch his opponent early but the youth and fitness of Wlodarcyzk will show up the longer the fight progressess and I fancy him narrowly if the fight goes to the judges.

Hey Rod R – you might like to say that to Green’s face and see what happens. Talk’s cheap and so, seemingly, are you. That said, I’d love to have bet on this fight but I reckon it’ll be a fight in two halves. The first half Green will be trying to knock the young fella out of the stadium and the second half Green will be having trouble keeping his guard up. I’m a loyal Aussie so I hope Danny wins.
yeah rod u tosser the only thing u could have is ur hand. did u watch green v beyer 1 green absolutely dominated him and would probly finished him next rnd and the rematch beyer to his credit came out a lot better and was gettin it over green but in the 12 rnd green almost knock him out and had it went another rnd i reckon green would of got him. If green gets past Wlodarcyzk Rod .r v green gonna happen, u heard it here first folks
the only reason danny green lost to mundine was the weight he had to lose to fight ? mundine, he was tired before he even got in the ring. if mundine tried to fight green at greens weight mundine probabily and most surely would of lost.
the reason green lost too mundine was that mundine fought a smarter fight, mundine spent the whole fight trying too accumalate points , while gree spent the whole fight trying too knock mundine out, i think over there careers green is far and away the best boxer, but was outpointes by a smarter boxer on that night
