THE VOICE: PUNTERS DECLARING KARISE EDEN OVER THE LINE

Punters are convinced Karise Eden will be the inaugural winner of The Voice with a string of big bets seeing her shorten from $1.90 to $1.45 this week at Sportingbet Australia.

Eden has been a long term favourite with bookmakers but Sportingbet Australia CEO Michael Sullivan said punters had really stepped into her this week.

“We have taken a string of big bets this week with one punter having $4500 on her plus two other bets of $2000 and plenty more between $1000 and $1500,” Sullivan said.

“Punters have anointed her the winner and simply don’t want to be on anyone else to win.”

Darren Percival is the second favourite with Sportingbet at $5.50 with Sarah De Bono at $6.00 and early favourite Rachael Leahcar now the outsider at $11.

“90% of the money this week has been for Karise Eden with the rest just sprinkled between the other three contestants,” Sullivan said.

“Rachael Leahcar had been the joint early favourite and we bet as short as $3.25 but she is now the $11 outsider of the four remaining contestants.”
