Australia Not Wanted In Ashes Betting – $20,000 Bet On England

England continue to shorten for the Ashes series at Sportingbet Australia.

Sportingbet Australia CEO Michael Sullivan said punters were showing no faith in Australia’s chances of reversing their current slump.

“Punters had a golden run with the Aussie cricket team for an extended period,” said Sullivan.

“But they’ve jumped off and England is now into $2.65 to win the series, after odds as big as $4.50 were bet in the run in, with some big bets including one of $20,000 over the past few days.

“It’s a long time since we’ve seen Australia at $2.00 for a home series and we’re still struggling to write a bet on them.”

Australia is still a $2.20 favourite for tomorrow’s First Test with good money coming for England at $3.00
