Sullo Says: Michael Sullivan’s Tips for Saturday 21st July
Flemington Race 6 – Prince of Capers – He has been superb this preparation with three wins and 2 seconds from his last five starts. Should get the box seat again from barrier two and will be hard to run down.
Best bet – Rosehill Race 7 No 4 – Kelinni – Very good first up over 1400m. Will strip fitter for that, the step up to 1900m will suit and Chris Waller is a genius at getting these horses right.
Best value – Eagle farm Race 2 No 9 – Skating on Ice – Has had no luck this preparation in harder races. Drops back in grade here and with gun apprentice Anthony Allen claiming 3kg from barrier four, she will be hard to beat.
Lay – Rosehill Race 4 No 5 – Seaside – Had every favour at Canterbury winning last start. There are some better quality two year olds here and think she is rock bottom odds.
Best backed – Flemington Race 8 No 4 – Rollerball – The Robert Smerdon trained three year old has clearly been the best go of the week shortening from $8.50 to $4.60 and the stable don’t get it wrong often.
